Photograph album of the 2nd annual VMCCA Glidden and Reliability Tour (1947), by official tour photographer Arthur Schuh. This was the "New England Glidden", in which 84 cars toured 560 miles around Hartford, Mount Washington, Portland, Boston, and Newport. (62) photographs. Not captioned or labeled. A wide range of scenes is depicted. These include:
-Group and individual photos of the participants, many of whom are in period dress;
-Shots of participants examining each others' cars;
-Scenes of the Tour going through towns;
-Stops for gas and repairs (often with intrigued onlookers);
-A hill-climb up Mount Washington; and
-The awards banquet after the Tour.
Photos are B&W, 14x20 cm or roughly 5½"x8", and are mounted onto 8½"x11" non-archival board.
